My Fall Break

    Have you been in a movie setting? do you remember the movie " Night at the museum"? I was there in the American Museum of Natural History in my fall break and it was amazing. I was so delight to saw those things which I saw in the movie and remembered everything, also I could see the President Roosevelt statue, which I took photos. However that Museum is very big and  even spent almost 4 hours  I could not see all the things which there are. Then from Sunday to Monday I, Nubia, Natalia and Henan, my Brazilians friends, were waiting for the sunrise and didn't sleep to saw the sun behind the mountains. It was crazy and very funny. When the sun was in the sky, we went to the Dunkin' Dunuts and had breakfast.

      Unlike  Saturday afternoon, on Monday I went to the 8th biggest mall in USA, the Palisades  mall. I didn't like the mall likewise I love the Museum, but there, in the mall, I had done one thing which was funny and cool, I played bowling with my friends. I liked to play with them because they are funny and I laughed a lot. For my fortune I won the match! Now I am waiting for the next break, the thanksgiving when the "black Friday" happens! :)

My Fall Break was wonderful... I was very tired and was amzing having some time to sleep and talk with my friends. On saturday I went to NYC, where I went to Museum of Natural History, and I really liked there! On Sunday I didn't do anything special, but it was a greatful day. On Monday I went to Palasides Mall, where I played bowling with braizilian guys. I'm not so good, but I really liked to play. On Tuesday I did not special again. I have enjoyed my Fall Break, and I can't wait the Thanks Given. ;)

My Fall Break

   Have you ever stolen something that you have suddenly? On October 12 to 15, I had a fall break. I went to Manhattan with my friend by bus. On the way to the New York City, I had a traffic jam and it took more than three hours to get to the city. Tough there were a lot of happenings, I could a lot of fun. This is my experience in New York for three days.

   I went to the 9/11 memorial. I didn't know that there is a new World Trade Center. There were a lot of people all around the world t know about the accident. More than ten years have passed when it happened. After I prayed there, I went to the Japanese noodle restaurant. My friend left her phone there and it was stolen by someone. We were looking for it but couldn't find it.


  At night, I went to the KARAOKE at Korean Town with my friends. It was the same style as Japan. It reminded me of my happy life in Japan.

   Fall break brought me a lot of precious experiences. I could meet a lot of new people who also study abroad in America. Also I ate a lot.  If you have interested in Japanese culture, you should go to the KARAOKE and sing a lot!

Disneyland

Have you ever visit Disneyland? Last week we got the fall break so I had the opportunity to go to Disneyland.  In Disneyland there are 4 parks, each park is different than the other parks, I went to 3 of them, First park I went to Magic Kingdom there were the princes, the second park was Animal Kingdom, where I sow the most of the animals, the third park which was awesome, was Epcot I liked it the most because it was showing the guests the future of human been.

          I love the princes so much, that’s why I went to Magic Kingdom, and there I meet all the princes.  I meet Cinderella and I got her autograph, then I meet Snow Wight I had some comments from her about nickels I was wearing, I had her autograph too.  Ariel who I love the most was seating alone with some fens so, asked her for a picture, she told me of course I love her because she is an adventurous princes more than the others.

          Animal Kingdom, as you read for animal over there I went to a safari ride.  Safari ride, you get to a huge truck and move around in the jungle to meet most of the animals, I meet the most dangerous animals like the lions,    hyenas, and cheetah.  Moreover I meet huge animals like the elephants and giraffe, it was the first time for meet to meet these animals face to face, believe me it was amazing.

          Third park which I liked the most, was Epcot because this park shows me the future of everything and how human been evolution from one stage to other until the present time.  I sow in one ride how human crate the paper to write in, and how was the evolution of the present invention, after that how they ink printed in securities of publishing the newspapers, and continue to evolve into the computer period.

          In conclusion, I had the fall break so I went to Disneyland, I went to 3 different parks in each park I did something awesome.  I meet the princes, I meet the most huge animals and the most dangerous animals to, and I learned about inventions to many things, paper, newspaper, and printer,  However, it was amazing break for me because I meet things for the first time and I learnd things for the first time too.

During the fall break, I didn’t want to go anywhere to travel. I just needed to rest at home. So I kicked back and I watched a bunch of episodes of my favorite TV drama “ Once Upon a Time” which I couldn’t watch for about one month because I was so busy. It was very interesting. And I went for a walk on rail trail with my friend  enjoying the view of autumn leaves every morning except on Sunday. It was very comfortable time for me.

       Last weekend was fall break. Before a fall break I was planning to visit the Statue of Liberty with my friend, but because of some things that we canceled the plan. i was so sad because I am looking forward to there for a long time. I had been in here for one year but never visit the statue of liberty. So I changed the schedule instead of went to New York City.

 I ate a delicious Korean food in Flushing, that was amazing! The restaurant name is HAHM JI BACH. The waiters who in there are all come from Korean, and you can see at the restaurant most of the guests are Korean, they were sitting around me that makes me feel I was in Korea. When I started to order dishes, I had no idea because I couldn’t understand the name of foods. Therefore, I just pointed at the picture on the menu. Before the entrée, they were severing pickled vegetables, such as Kimchi, Spicy tofu, Pickled Soup and Squid tempura etc. we ordered Korean barbecue and fried noodles, those are my favorite.

Have you ever eaten Korean food? If not, you had better go to try it.

Wonderful Fall Break!!!!

       My fall break was so nice!!!!! I visited Thousand island and Niagara falls with Haesol, Kayoko, Seona and Hyein. First day, we went flushing in Queens because we missed korean food. Therefore, we ate a variety of foods such as korean ribs, kimchi and kimchi stew. It was a great!!!!!!!:D

       The next early morning, we rode bus with a lot of people. After so much time, we arrived Thousand island and we rode on a big ferry. I felt very excited. Thousand island had a lot of islands and there are a lot of beautiful houses too. I think I want to buy my house in here!!!!!! It is my dream.

 

        And on the third day, we visited Niagara falls. It was a magnificent view. We rode ferry and took a near view of Niagara falls. Besides, we rowed wet. However, It was an unforgettable experience.

      

        This fall break is a  meaningful time to me. And I want to go there again. I think It is a great gift from nature.

Fall break

           Atlantic city is famous sightseeing in New Jersey. New Jersey made this city to import Casino.

So Atlantic city is said to East Las Vegas because of Casino and leisure facilities.

           Board walk is very famous in this city. My friend and I arrived there at night. We couldn’t see many things in there.

           We went to the hotel Bally’s. The hotel is very big and wide so we chose the hotel for doing game. But we don’t bet much only bet 30 dollars.

 

           The first time we lost our money down to 6 dollars. Suddenly Diamond picture showed up and we earned some money.

           I think Atlantic City is good to trip during one night two days. And this city has beach so very cool. It was as good as I expected it to be.    

 

 

My Great Fall Break!!!

     I went to New York City for three days with Gwen, Ayumi, and Chiaki. I spent a wonderful break in there. It was for the first time for me to stay NYC, Manhattan. I walked a lot and took subways many times. I traveled around the popular tourist sites in Manhattan. Now, I would like to introduce the most favorite places for me when I went to New York City in the fall break.

     First of all, I watched a musical, the Phantom of the Opera. I was very happy to watch the musical because musicals are usually very expensive. However, I could watch the musical around $70. I really like the Phantom of the Opera because I watched three times by the movie. Therefore, I was very excited to watch it. I like the music of the Phantom of the Opera. The musical was very beautiful and impressive. 

     Second, I went to see the American Museum of Natural History. I was afraid that I can't enter there because of shutdown. However, I was able to enter the museum. The museum became the stage of the movie of Night at the Museum. I like the movie. It's so fun. In the museum, I saw replicas of dinosaurs and a moai. 

     Finally, I went to Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center. In the top of the building, it was nice of view. I went to in the morning, so I could see clearly all around the building in Manhattan. I saw Central Park and the Empire State Building. If I have money, I want to go there at night.

     To sum up, I was very satisfied my fall break. New York City has still good places to go sightseeing. I really recommend to watch musicals. I'm going to go New York City again in the Fall semester.

Fall break

      The most beautiful thing is to have a vacation in the middle of the semester.

I went to many places in the last couple days. I went to NYC & New Jersey, palisade

Mall, and to Poughkeepsie.

 

     First, I went to NYC with a school bus on Saturday. I arrived to NYC at 12:30

p.m. then I took the path to go to new Jersey to meet my friend there, it was the first

time to use the path. I felt nerves but in the same time exciting because I’m doing

something new. Then I arrived in New Jersey 1:15p.m. I took only 15 minutes to get

there. After that I met my friend and we have fun together.

      Next, I went to Palisade Mall on Monday. But the time was short, we had lunch in

Cheese Cake Factory it was delicious. And I had a little shopping.

       

      Finally, I went to Poughkeepsie to visit my relatives then, I went to the cinema

and we watch a movie.

      So, this is my fall break vacation I went to NYC & New Jersey, palisade

Mall, and to Poughkeepsie. And I had fun.

Fall break

            I had a great fall break because I did a lot of things during the fall break. My friends and I went to New York City and Boston. We ate a lot of Chinese foods and seafood. We traveled many famous place. such as  the Statue of Liberty, Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

            First day, my friends and I went to New York City. In the morning, we drove the car form new paltz to NY. After we arrived, we ate lunch in a Chinese restaurant. Next, we went to the Statue of Liberty by a boat. The tour guide told us many information about that. It is awesome. After that, we went to Chinatown and bought some snacks for tomorrow's trip.

            Second day,  my friends and I went to Boston. We got up very early and get together in the morning. One of my friends drove his car from New Paltz to Boston. We spent almost four hours to arrive in Boston. After we arrived, we went to "legal seafood" which is a very good seafood restaurant in Boston. Next, we went the Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These two university are very famous in the world because their rank is very high. The scenery of these two university are very beautiful. I hope that my son can go to this University someday.
            In sum, I spent a great fall break, but I was very tired. I hope that everyone would enjoy

their fall break.

My fall break was wonderful, because I could know many new places. On Saturday 12^th, I went to New York City with my Brazilian friends :D I ate Brazilian food in the Queens, the food was wonderful and very similar with the original Brazilian food, I found the typical Brazilian barbecue :P .After we went to the Natural Historic Museum. This place is amazing because the museum is so big, it has enormous variety of expositions. Visiting this museum is one great opportunity for tourists who want to know more about their ancestors.

 After this, I couldn't miss the chance to visit again the Times Square and go to the Hard Rock Café, since I lived in Brazil, I had the dream to go to this restaurant that has one amazing decoration and you can find original instruments of famous musicians.

On Sunday, I just relaxed in my room. But on Monday, I and the others international students went to the Palisades Mall that it is the 8^th largest mall in America. There are many stores, such as Hollister, Albercrombie, Macy's and others.There I could to play bowling for my first time in my life, it was good experience, I loved to play with my friends.

This next weekend, I am so exciting because ,on Sunday, I will go to Six Flags :D In the next week, I will come back to talk more about my trip to Six Flags… Bye Bye!

Fall Break !!

        I went to New York city to stay two nights there. I went there with Yuka, Ayumi, and Chiaki. The first day, four of us went to find the dormitory, which was from a Japanese owner. We had hard time to search for this dormitory, yep, I had lots of opinions about this dormitory. It was a long story. Ha ha!!  By the way, it was located in the Harlem area. The first day, we went to see musical in Broadway in the afternoon, which is called the phantom of the opera.

         Second day, we went to the American Museum of Natural History and central park and grand central station. American Museum of Natural History, the seller, who sold the tickets for us, told us that we can give whatever the prices were. However, I'm kind gave him 5 dollars. The price for student is 17 dollars, but I really wanted  to give 1dime at that time. Ha . In the night, we went to flushing.( People who were immigrants  from Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean) . This was my first time to came here.  Tell you what !!! Bubble tea was from Taiwan, which was the first country brought to wild wide. And I saw two companies from Taiwan drinks. ( Co- Co , Come buy ) . But the most popular and I love very much is called " Chun Shui Tang" 春水堂！！  I heard that it was  the first company to made bubble tea ( not sure ), but it was very famous of bubble tea. 

        The third day, we went to Rockefeller, we also saw a guy who good at skating got interview from the news at Rockefeller Plaza. Also we went to the modern art museum(Moma). Tell you everyone, if you like art you won't regret not going there !!! Because the ticket is free!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Free to SUNY Student. Please bring your ID to the information table. After few 3 hours went shopping.

        The time was short and I wanted to go more places during the fall break. It was a nice and fun trip!!!!!
   
     

Next weekend plan

       In weekend i have many things to do, but in this long weekend i'm planning to go to NYC on
Saturday. Maybe i'll spend all the day their. On Sunday i'll go to the  Galleria at Poughkeepsie to watch a movie and to make a little bit  shopping. On Monday i'll clean my apartment and do the laundry and go to Stop & shop to buy things for home. On Tuesday i'll do the homework and watch the T'V.

     

SUNY enrollment history

     When I was 21, my major was environmental design in Catholic university, but it did not fit to me because I did not have an interest in architecture, but environmental design was about architecture. I wanted to study jewelry and metal in US. My professor always told me you should change your major. I decided to go on a trip to the America and really wanted to go America. However, I had no money. So, I worked elementary and middle school and taught drawing picture to student. As a result, I earned a lot of money and was able to go to the United States. When I was in New York, I feel really good because can experience a new culture. New York was an attractive city where I can enjoy a lot of museums and feel a lot of things such as exciting, comfortable and relaxed. I fell in love with New York city.

        After returning to South Korea, I decided to transfer to US universities. However, my parents objected to study in the America because school tuition is expensive, and the United States is very dangerous. There were opposing opinions on this problem. I was very sad and then I was obliged to concentrate my major in my school. As a result, I got a good grade in my school. My parents were impressed to me. I had won my parents to consent. Finally, my parents gave permission to study in the United States. I was really happy.

         After receiving permission to my parents, I prepared my art portfolio in art educational institute for 7 months. Portfolio was hard work, but I was so happy. I also was interested in metal and jewelry for a long time. In addition, I was looking for a famous school of jewelry and metal.  Among them, SUNY New Paltz had metal program that has been ranked number one in the United States. I always decided to go to SUNY New Paltz metal program. SUNY New Paltz was my dream.

      However, I had a big problem. It was TOEFL exam. I had a low TOEFL score. I studied hard, but the score did not rise. I thought I should go mad, and the deadline of SUNY is getting closer. Eventually, I submitted a low TOEFL score. I had a confidence in my portfolio, but worried about TOEFL score. I did not sleep because of worrying and I had a dream that I failed from SUNY every night. I made my life a hell when I waited the acceptance result for 45days.

      On May 15th, I received email from SUNY New Paltz. The email title was 'Acceptance to the state University of New York at New Paltz'. I felt an ominous aura. I fix the mind and I opened the e-mail. When I opened the email, my heart missed a beat. It was passed mail. I yelled with delight. In addition, I was shedding tears of joy. My heart was overflowing with joy. And I cried ‘I finally go to SUNY New Paltz.

      After 3 months, I arrived the SUNY New Paltz. I am glad to have come to life in my dream place. I want to learn many things in the New Paltz. I love SUNY New Paltz.

    Last weekend, I went to go Korean church. I met a lot of new friends who attend Vassar college and CIA. They were also very friendly. And  we had an athletics meeting. we played a lot of sports games such as volley ball, basket ball, table tennis, folk dancing, dodge ball and tug of war. It was so exciting. In addition, we divided three teams such as red, blue and white, and I belong to white team. However, our team was a cellar dwelling team, but I won third place in treasure hunt game. Therefore, I got a paper towel and a hand soap. It was a great experience to me. And I like my new friends:D

     Since I arrived in the USA, I have gone to New York City two times, and I really like to be there. It is an amazing city, with a lot of things that I can do, a lot of lights and arts, these make me feel wonder!!! Just today I thought that next Saturday I'm going there again, so I was thinking what I can do this time, and now I have the answer: I want to go to the American Museum of Natural History. It is one of the biggest museums of the world, with countless exhibits. I'm so excited about that. It will be something different for me, because I've never gone to a big Museum like that.

Damares' Bday!!

My last weekend started on Friday afternoon. First, I played baseball with Professor James and the other International students in the field near to the VH Building. Then, at night, I back to my room and talked a lot with my parents and my girlfriend. In addition to that night I watched the movie “The Internships” with my Brazilians friends in the Lefevre Hall at SUNY. But, for my misfortune, the movie was not funny like I expected and I guess I slept at the first 25 minutes.  On Saturday afternoon, the Brazilian made a surprising party for Damares’ birthday and before that, I was on the Stop and Shop to   buy the things for party. In contrast to the Friday night, the Saturday night was more exciting and funnier. We (me and the other Brazilians) went to a house party, which was crowded, hot and funny. Then that party, we started to search another party, but we were lost on the main street and follow the people flow to found it. For our luck I met a colleague who play soccer with me he showed where was the party. Finally, On Sunday  I was so tired, I did my homework and blabbing with my friends, by the way, I could not sleep and I’m still awake from yesterday to right now!
